Operational Experience:

Biography:

Simon began his security career whilst working with British Airways. A collaboration with the FCDO enabled him to serve the UK in a number of low-profile international operations, particularly post-9/11 events. He acted as QMS and similar roles around the globe, often in hostile host countries. During domestic and overseas deployment, Simon developed and delivered counter-espionage and later, counter-terrorism packages for UK government and private industries operating globally.

Simon left the airline industry for a period during the early 2000s to persue a career in the Police. He joined Devon & Cornwall Police and served in the Mid Devon area, tackling what is colloquially termed “cider-related knife crime”

Towards the end of the 2000s, Simon returned to aviation, joining easyJet as a pilot and cabin crew trainer, specialising in Dangerous Goods and Aviation Security. He attained his CIN and RFX rating under the CAA and has held it for 20 years.

After easyJet, and for the last 10 years, Simon has acted as a consultant aviation trainer, again specialising in UK AvSec and Dangerous Goods training. Primarily involved with airline activities, he has built up skills and qualifications in Crew Resource Management (Human Performance Limitations), Transportation of Dangerous Goods & Live Animals by Air, Emergency First Aid, Aircraft Emergency Procedures and UKCAA and EASA Aviation Security. He is qualified to train Aircrew, Aircraft, Aviation Security Manager, G.S.A.T. and Recognition of Firearms and Explosives.

He has helped a number of startup airlines as well as established global companies; training in UK, France, Germany, Eqypt, Vietnam, Turkey and many other countries.
